Now - here we are…
in a sequence of a Lifetime
By now - Stuck in - what it was
what it is and what will be
I am the one - and I'm not afraid!
I came to proclaim the nothingness of hearts
I‘m searching for the end, in the midst of eternity
from which i can never - never escape
I'm your Messiah! I am the Fire!

I am Life – but I can't die
I am the Death, but I can’t live
I am the One and I'm not afraid!

A sky for the fallen One
Am I in heaven? Am I in hell?

There is no end of time.

Wie ein alter Schatten voller Sehnsucht
in deinem Kopf das Sehen sucht
Fern der hies'gen Welt
Fern des Lichtes karg
Allzulang' er sich verbarg
Bis sein Gefängnis nun - zerfällt
In kahlen Wänden wirst du lächeln
wenn der Hall in deinem Schädel tobt
Wie verfluchtest du - was immer du auch warst
Was immer du auch warst - und was du bist
Den inner' Krieg im Kopf gefangen
Kreatur der fremden Schatten
Speist den Hass in dich hinein
Um deinen Wahnsinn zu befreien
Geht zugrund' was dort schon lag
Das Licht sich längst schon dort verbarg
Vom Schattengrau im Rot zerfetzt
Das Blut sich nun am Grund zersetzt
Zwischen allem Denken
legt sich still - der Gedanke nun zur Ruh
Und die Zeit steht still
Der Krieg bricht aus
Die Zeit bricht ein
Neben Schädelsplittern
legt das Denken sich zur ruh - den Gedanken ab
Karg - was war
Karg - was bleibt
Wie ein karges Lächeln
Wenn der Tod in deinem Schädel thront

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
